The secretary of the event Manijeh Armin said that the opportunity to display their works has been enthusiastically welcomed by Iranian female artists, adding, “A total of 1700 earthenware artifacts created by 200 women from different parts of the country have been submitted to the secretariat and the selection board are currently choosing the items for the exhibit.”

She went on to say that the event has been organized to demonstrate the potential and innovative ability of women artists in the field of pottery. Several workshops have also been organized on the side lines of the exhibition.

Cosponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Tehran’s Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Organization, the event will run until September 18.
